Benefits

By using thinner glass and reducing weight, CO2 emissions are reduced, less fuel is used, planet is respected.

Reduces weight of windshields, side and Backlites by 35%, when compared to the use of standard glass thicknesses (ref: 1.2 sqm WSC, 2.8mm glass thickness vs 3.7mm glass thickness - PVB not included).

Technical information

Enables fuel savings and decreases CO2 emissions by reducing weight and using thinner glass (typically 0.1 g of CO2 per saved kilogram and kilometer driven).

For windshields, use of thinner outer and inner glass sheets lead to a weight reduction of about 4 kg per windshield vs. standard configuration (ref: 1.2 sqm WSC, 2.8mm glass thickness vs 3.7mm glass thickness - PVB not included).

For side windows and backlites : thicknesses down to 2.85mm are available, resulting in weight reduction of 0.8 kg/m² vs standard glass thickness (3.15mm).
