What is Head-up display?

Head-up display (HUD) projects essential driver information such as speed, warning signals, and indicator arrows for navigation onto the vehicle's windshield.

Technical information

Windshield design simulation

Thanks to our simulation tools and customer specifications, we can design a windshield numerically and return the most important parameters. This step is important because it reduces development time and costs while optimizing quality perception.

Ghost Images

To avoid the ghost image, we typically need to laminate a wedge PVB with a specific angle which is defined by the simulation. Other solutions exist within AGC to solve this problem.

Sheet by sheet forming

AGC invests in advanced process for glass bending !

For new HUD projects, we bend the glass with a proprietary sheet-by-sheet machine, leading to accurate and repeatable glass shape with high optical quality.

Quality control

To confirm values that we obtain with simulation tools, we use special control equipment to evaluate each windshield in the production line.

Support to our customer

AGC uses simulation tools to check the feasibility of the HUD project to reduce development risks and allow faster market launch; with our perception bench we build the specifications together with our customer.
